my creating a content management system for my website so i can do changes to my website i started off by signing up to concrete 5 and downloaded to files to the pc then i created a database on x10 hosting and know i am transfer all of the files from concrete 5 to filezilla.

We are looking for a logo that represents a little bit better what we do...(i.e. urban farming, with aquaponics (fish and and plants raised together), ecological and sustainable food production, for healthier local economies). Also, I'm not crazy about the pink.

Website gone live
My 1 page website has gone live but I have experence a lot of problems when doing so, here is a link to the webpage http://appscoop.x10.mx/ and as you can see at the moment there is no images but images were on the webpage when i designed it, but i am happy that all of my links work to all of sites which i am pleased about but I will be trying to sort out those problems and get it back online as soon as possible.my website has finally gone live and I transfer it over through ftp and the program I used to transfer my website over was filezilla I started off by register to x10 hosting and I was giving my web address this was what I typed Into filezilla and I also typed my user name and my password and port 21 which is an ftp port . when I click on sign up it come up with all of the files that are on my website on my website side to side so then I clicked on public http and there come up an Index.html file this was the file I was going to but my webpage so copy over my webpage and overwrite the current file and then my webpage came up but there was no pictures so I had to transfer all of my files onto filezilla and then It come up with a fully working webpage.

After looking at the feedback I went back and redesigned this new logo which is what they ask for a simple font with room for a logo I came up with this concept after looking at modern arts and modern logo and it come to my attention that the best font out there are the ones that look professional but also have that fun twist so thats how i come up with the concept, I am really pleased about it and I am hoping it goes far in the competition.

Then you will come to this page you can see you have your inbox will the latest messeges your important this is where all of your important files are stored on google it has a yellow flag next to it to highlight that it is important then you have drafts this is where you have all your saved emails and the final important feature is sent this is where you can view all of your sent emails.
This is the compose section of the webpage and as you can see you can put the person email address that your going to send it too you can put a subject telling the reader what the email about and then you can put your message it is as simple as that once you are finished click send to send your email to the correct place.
Companies can make massive amout of money by advitising there stuff over the internet a company who cant afford tv adverts or newspaper adverts may use facebook or twitter to shout there ideas to the world with groups on facebook because can send messages with offers or deals and that will then be shown on everyone newsfeed that is following them the same on twitter when you post something all of your followers will be able to see your page or if you are using you tube you can pay them to advitise on your website.

How i designed my website
The visual editor i used when creating my website was photoshop and included images that i got of the internet and some where handmade i created my logo on illistrator and I wanted to create a logo that wasn't offensive but had a bit of humour and i think that my logo has achieve this i think it would offend the older audience but the audience i am trying to go for the minority would find it funny rather than offensive. the boxes i created with the top 10 apps in and the apps of the week by coping then off the internet and editing them this was where i started getting the problems with because of editing issues. and finally added the links to social networking sites which i designed myself which take people from my index page to their index page. the colour scheme i used when creating my website was a light blue background with hints of white. the font i used when creating my website was captain america which i got from dafont.com. I had to check my spelling all of the time when editing my website because the world will be able to see it so i used Microsoft word of other spell checks to check all of my selling's.
The problems I had when creating my 1 page website
The problems I have experience when creating my 1 page website were First when I was creating my website on photoshop and Was doing my top 10 apps of the week the layout i wanted to have it was the apple layout with the list going down but with blackberry and windows there layout on there website is across which means that I would have to edit all of the apps by hand and try and get them in a format which would look the same as the apple iTunes style this took a lot of time to do and delayed my completion of the 1 page website.
The second problem i experience when creating my 1 page was transferring the content from photoshop to dreamweaver this was very fustrating and I encountered a lot of problems when doing this I think problems with the software programs and my knowledge of hand written websites made it difficult for me to complete the website and still to this day am having problems getting all of the boxes to the correct position adding the links because when I put it in live view the text changes which I am having problems which has mean delays to my project.

The software programs I used when creating my website were

I used http://x10hosting.com/ to host my web page and use filezilla to transfer my web page to x10hosting and I put in by username and password for my x10hosting and the Ftp port 20/21,Ftp stands for file transfer protocol and this is a set of rules that make the internet and it is used to transfer files over the internet you need open port 20/21 in your firewall setting if you were having problems with transferring packages. css stands for cascading style sheet and what this is it is like command line interface compared to graphical user interface you can use both on dreamweaver you can graphically design it and you can also type it up by using css text this is easier to use compared to if you know how to use it compared to designing it yourself.
My final thoughts
If i did this project again I would not use dreamweaver because of the the faustration i would learn hand coding to make it easy to use and would pick a subject which was easy to design compared to apps which I have had problems with the layout. I got feedback from my peers and some of it was positive and some was negative so i took that advice and improved my product because thats the type of audience i am hoping to get for my website so there feedback was vital. the finished product i thought that my photoshop design was better than my dreamweaver but because of problems that i encounter when creating it on dreamweaver i was pleased with the finished product. I think that my technical competence has vastly improved after creating my 1 page website which is important to succeed in a future career.
