Wireless access portocol (wap) is a way to send data over the internet wirelessly,wap is common in mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets they are also used on laptops and notebooks with the introduction of dongles which transmit data over the internet. with wap you ask for data from your device its requests it by sending it to satellites and then its goes to the http server which thens sends the webpage to the mobile device this can be slower than cable connection depending on the area that you are sending the information from.3rd generation protocol 3g is a faster way to transmit it transmit frequency over the internet and this frequency is stronger than the second generation and the first generation which means that 3g can send information over the internet at a faster rate than 2g and is more safe and secure.

Multimedia message service is a way to send packets over a mobile network to a other person,mms you can send picture files sound files and even video files over the internet this is why it is called mms but there is a problem with mms it is very slow compared to sending a normal message which can be a problem if you are expecting a picture or a video urgently and most mobile networks charge users to send mms messages depending on your mobile provider.

world wide web consortium is the main standard orginatsation for the world wide web. what does the w3c do: the w3c are like sorting out something in a supermarket everything has its place and that what the w3c do they are like the IEEE the instatute of electronic and electrical engineers they have diffrent rules for diffrent components and then they can use letters to sub device that subject if needed this make it easier for people to device something.

uniform resourse locator or url is what you see when click on a webpage to be transfer over the internet it cant be transfer as you can see it the way it gets transfer it is transformed into an ip address and is transfer over the internet and then is opened like a package is and transformed into a url which you can see this is what domain name system is dns because that is what dns does it transfer data over the internet by turning it into an ipv4 address and now an ipv6 address you need to registor for a domain name because you need a unique ip address if you are hosting a webpage because of the shortages of ip address.
